Village research sites identified in declassified 1964 satellite imagery from the US Geological Survey EROS data center. Village research sites are noted in the lower graphic. Note that in 1964, Zhangqing village was located on Mashan Island within Tai Lake. In the late 1960s, the island was joined to the peninsula by a land reclamation project supported by Wuxi City, which now manages the peninsula.
